Comment | Janssen is the largest crater visible in the image (off centre toward the bottom left corner), not immediately visible because its walls were partly destroyed by later craters. It has a diameter of 191km x 115km and it dates back to the Pre-Nectarian period. Inside the crater it is possible to see the Rimae Janssen, a large rill 140km long and 3km wide. |
