Comment | It is a very rarely photographed subject, so much so that not even the photo on Wikipedia have a decent image of it. In fact, in most of the shots you will find on the web there is little mention of the H-alpha area that surrounds the reflection area and the full extention of the reflection nebula is not detected. I first became aware of its presence when I photographed the planetary nebula "Squid" in OIII overlaid with Sh2-129. As you can see in my image of Sh2-129 at the lower right end side of the picture you may notice VdB140. I had always promised myself that one day I would photograph it with a reasonable focal length and last year I decided was the right moment. |
